JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Responsible for ensuring all products is received and shipped with complete accuracy, including physically counting, scanning, and verifying inventory stock. Responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform Order Filler and Checker duties.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

  • Identifies location, verify supplier and pallets corresponding to the assigned revision
  • At location, removes packing list, noting the pallet number.
  • Perform revision by scanning reference number, part number, quantity, and PO number; if returnable containers are present, scans their barcodes
  • Prints scan report and compare information against packing list.
  • If the material cannot be scanned, requests creation of barcodes for the part numbers based on packing list
  • For A1 and AF material, sends photos showing identification data for each product such as Brand, Model, and Serial number.
  • If a discrepancy is detected (overage, shortage, or no documents), fills out OS&D form and selects proper discrepancy codes.
  • If damaged material is detected, it generates damage report in Menu-Bodega and takes photographs showing reference number, part number, and the damage.
  • Finalizes the revision, transfers information to AS400, and prints 'master label'.
  • Places the "master labels" on each pallet corresponding with "pallet id" label and scans them.
  • Assist on all projects when required including lifting, sorting, and wrapping pallets.
  • Scans and uploads documents to "Imaging" so they can be viewed by the S&R team
  • Assist in physical inventory or cycle count when needed.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
  • Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Forklift certification preferred and operated an order picker.

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS: No specific licenses or certifications are required. However, relevant certifications will be considered as part of the qualifications and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of part numbers and part usage and understand applications for use.
  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, issuing, delivery, inventory control, and stock handling procedures.
  • Knowledge of common tools, supplies, and equipment.
  • Ability to read, write legibly, and compute simple arithmetic functions accurately.
  • Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy and bulky items.
  • Knowledge of safe methods of handling and warehousing a variety of materials.
  • Knowledge of computer functions related to inventory control.
  • Ability to operate and control a self-propelled forklift and warehousing equipment.
  • Familiarity with material handling and radio frequency equipment is needed.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to communicate in English & Spanish.
  • Ability to take and follow directions from Team Lead & Supervisor.
  • Ability to give directions to and gain compliance from assigned staff.
  • Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to maintain good planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain a good and positive working relationship with all co-workers and other contacts.
  • Required to comply with all policies and procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is performed outside having a variety of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements, such as fumes, smoke or gases, dust, grease, and oils. Work involves rotating shifts and working extended workdays outside the regular working hours and on call. Capable of working closely with others, and with moving objects or vehicles in an excessive noisy environment. Exposure to unknown and dangerous conditions. Work requires straight pulling, simple and dual simultaneous grasping, standing, sitting, crouching, twisting, pushing, stooping, reaching above shoulders, climbing stairs, walking, carrying over 45 pounds, and moderate lifting over 45 pounds. Ability to see, write, count, read, identify shade of colors, and hear is needed to perform essential functions.
