Job Summary/Basic Function:
To perform teaching, service, advising, and establish a research program involving publications and acquisition of funds; supervision of Master's and Ph.D. students.
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related area anticipated by the start date.
Preferred Qualifications
Outstanding academic credentials, a record of scholarship, and funded research and excellent communication skills. Experience teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
Essential Functions and percent of time:
100%: Teaching, research, and service. Faculty member will be required to teach, including lecturing, course material development, mentoring senior design students, as well as advising/mentoring graduate students. Successful candidate will develop a fully funded and active research program; publish journal papers, conference papers, reports, etc., with the goal of developing into an internationally recognized expert in the faculty member's research area. Candidate will be expected to provide academic and administrative service by serving on department, college, and university committees, serving as a reviewer of technical papers and proposals, and demonstrating leadership in one or more professional societies.
