Job Title: Social Media Intern
Department: Communications
Location: Berea, KY- Hybrid OR Remote in the following states: WV, VA, KY, TN, AL

Part Time: 20-25hrs per week

Pay: $18hr

Job Summary:
The Social Media Intern supports Fahe’s Communications Team by helping create content, monitor engagement, and assist with maintaining a strong online presence. This role is ideal for a student or early‑career professional interested in digital marketing, social media strategy, and nonprofit communications.
The intern will learn how to represent the Fahe brand online, track performance metrics, and contribute to campaigns that advance our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and publish 3–5 unique, error‑free social media posts per week across Fahe’s channels.
  • Monitor social media platforms daily for comments, messages, and engagement opportunities.
  • Assist in gathering and summarizing weekly and monthly social media analytics.
  • Research emerging social media trends, tools, and platforms and share insights with the Communications Team.
  • Support basic content updates on Fahe’s websites (text, images, links) as trained.
  • Occasionally attend local events—such as groundbreakings—to capture photos and produce a brief written recap of the occasion.
  • Assist with SEO‑related tasks such as keyword research or updating metadata under staff guidance.
  • Provide support for digital ad content creation (graphics, copy) for social media campaigns.
  • Coordinate small website‑related requests by gathering information or preparing drafts for staff review.
  • Represent Fahe professionally in all digital interactions and uphold confidentiality and mission alignment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Currently a junior or senior pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, Journalism, or a related field. Students with relevant coursework, hands-on social media experience, or a strong interest in digital content creation are encouraged to apply.
  • Skills:
    • Familiarity with the social media platforms Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and X
    • Basic graphic design capabilities using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
  • Ability to lift to 15 pounds occasionally.
