Job description

Sr. Accountant, Revenue Accounting

TheSr. Accountant, Revenue Accountingwill play a pivotal role inpreparingand optimizing the company's revenue recognition processesfor our Health and Life businesses,ensuring adherence to ASC 606 standards, and fostering alignment between financial reporting and business operations. This role will involve overseeing the preparation, review, and reporting ofthelong-term value (LTV) assessmentsand related contract assets.In addition, this role will include responsibility for cost ofrevenue accountingand analysis. TheSr. Accountantwill collaborate across departments, includingSales Operations,Commissions Operations,FP&A, andIT, to ensure seamless integration of accounting policies with business strategies. The ideal candidate will haveagoodunderstanding ofrevenue accountingandinternal controls,experienceparticipating incomplex projects, and the ability to drive improvements in processes, controls, and cross-functional alignment.

What You'll Do

  • Preparation of monthly journal entries, MD&A, and collaborationwiththebroader teamtocompletemonth-end close activities and accurate reporting of key revenue data.

  • Partner with theother teamsto incorporate insights into forecastingand management reporting,driving alignment between finance and business operations.

  • Utilize analytics to identify anomalies in data, trends,orvariances between actuals and estimates

  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify, allocate, and report costs associated with productionthat are required as part of the net revenue presentation.

  • Prepare Balance Sheet Roll Forwards and Reconciliations

  • Ensureadherence to internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) related to revenue accounting.

  • Prepare financial statement disclosures and schedules related to revenue.

  • Work withexternal auditors during financial statement audits related to revenue recognition and SOX compliance.

  • Participate in ad hoc projects as necessary

Who You Are

  • 2-5years of related accounting experience, public company accounting experience is a plus

  • You have a bachelor's degree in accounting,finance, or related field, CPA designation is preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy that is results-oriented with a "can do" attitude and willingness to drive process change within the team, taking on additional responsibilities as needed.

  • Goodunderstanding of internal controls and experience with risk assessment and mitigation.

  • You are proactive in identifying process improvements and take initiative to diagnose and remediate potential issues.

  • Strongverbal and written communication skills,theability to deal with complex problems and present recommendations and findings in a clear, concise format.

  • A quick andadeptlearner who adapts well to a fast-moving environment.

  • Desire to develop an understanding of the business as it relates to revenue generation.

  • Flexible to meet changing priorities and the ability to prioritize workload to achieve on time accurate results

  • You have experience in working with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.).

  • Ability to be in the office 5 days a week.
