SUMMARY
The Director, Growth is responsible for owning and advancing Butler/Till's priority growth verticals (e.g., Healthcare, Local-at-Scale) by defining go-to-market strategy, building senior-level relationships, and driving qualified pipeline. This role serves as a category expert and primary external voice, translating market intelligence into actionable strategy, thought leadership, and measurable business impact.
Acting as a bridge between strategy and execution, this individual develops the playbooks, infrastructure, and cross-functional alignment needed to position Butler/Till as a competitive partner while scaling repeatable growth models across the organization.
KEY OUTCOMES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Outcome: Define and Scale Vertical Go-to-Market Strategy
Key Responsibilities:
• Own and continuously evolve the GTM strategy across priority vertical(s), including target audiences, messaging, and priority accounts
• Build and maintain scalable playbooks (personas, positioning, case studies, and proof points)
• Translate market intelligence and category insights into clear, differentiated positioning
• Partner with Growth and Marketing to align strategy with campaigns, content, and pipeline focus
Key Outcome: Drive Measurable Pipeline and Growth Impact
Key Responsibilities:
• Own contribution to qualified pipeline aligned to agency growth priorities
• Identify, source, and engage high-value target accounts to build sustained opportunity flow
• Build and nurture senior-level relationships to open doors and accelerate opportunity progression
• Define, track, and optimize success metrics (pipeline quality, conversion, account penetration)

QUALIFICATIONS
• REQUIRED
o 10+ years of experience in multi-location, franchise, or local-at-scale marketing, media, or business development; agency, brand, or publisher side
o Deep fluency across the Local-at-scale spectrum: national franchise systems, multi-location enterprises, and dealer/distributor networks (not single-location/independent franchisee work)
o Proven track record of building senior relationships and opening doors at national brands with local execution
o Strong strategic communicator; able to translate Butler/Till's capabilities into Local-specific value across corporate and field marketing audiences
o Working knowledge of the mechanics that make Local hard: co-op funding, brand-vs-local tension, multi-location attribution, and field enablement
o Comfortable operating without a quota; motivated by category ownership and relationship outcomes, not just closed revenue
o Collaborative by instinct; works well across marketing, growth, and leadership without siloing
o Existing Local/franchise network is a plus; ability to build one quickly is the minimum

Travel Requirements
All employees, regardless of role or geographic location, are required to attend onboarding in person during their first week of employment and annually for the Shareholder's Summit held each June. For the Director, Growth, regular and frequent travel is an essential job function and will be required to support business development objectives and organizational initiatives, including quarterly leadership development training, key meetings and events, visits to Agency headquarters, industry conferences, trade shows, prospective client meetings, networking events, and other strategic growth activities.

COMPENSATION
Butler/Till is committed to providing pay transparency of our compensation philosophy and ensuring equitable pay practices for our employee owners. The compensation range for this position is $92,000 - $145,000 and represents the annual salary range in Rochester, NY. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience.
This is just one component of Butler/Till's total compensation package for employee owners. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including ESOP (employee stock ownership plan), an annual bonus, in addition to a full benefits package, and paid time off benefits, including 100% paid parental leave. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
