Position
The Revenue Cycle Manager oversees the full laboratory revenue cycle, billing, and reimbursement operation for molecular diagnostics, toxicology, and other clinical laboratory services. This remote leadership role leads a billing organization of approximately 40 team members, including offshore medical billing specialists and team leads in the Philippines. The manager is accountable for billing performance, coding compliance, denials management, financial reporting, payer follow-up, and continuous revenue-cycle improvement.
Position Details
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Mountain Time. Candidates must be able to work these hours consistently.
  • 100% Remote - open to candidates in Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and Texas
  • Job Type: Full-time, W2. Direct hire only. No C2C, 1099, or third-party candidate submissions.
  • Salary: $90,000 - $130,000 annually, based on experience

Responsibilities
  • Manage the full end-to-end laboratory revenue cycle, including charge capture, claim submission, payment posting, and A/R follow-up
  • Lead a billing organization of approximately 40 team members, including offshore medical billing specialists and team leads
  • Ensure accurate CPT (80000 series) and ICD-10 coding for all laboratory procedures in compliance with payer, Medicare, and Medicaid requirements
  • Oversee claim edits, denials, appeals, and reimbursement optimization
  • Establish and maintain SOPs, KPIs, and billing workflows to improve accuracy and compliance
  • Collaborate with laboratory operations, finance, and IT to resolve billing or system issues
  • Build, analyze, and present RCM and financial performance reports to leadership, including net collections, days in A/R, aging, denial trends, reimbursement variance, underpayments, bad debt, and team productivity
  • Stay current on payer policy changes, CLIA regulations, and healthcare billing compliance
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex billing or client issues
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • At least three years owning or performing the full revenue cycle, from charge capture and claim submission through payment posting, denials management, and final A/R resolution
  • At least one year of Clinical laboratory billing experience (molecular diagnostics, toxicology, or general clinical lab)
  • At least one year of hands-on AdvancedMD experience supporting revenue-cycle workflows, including claims, payment posting, denials, reporting, or A/R managementExperience building financial and RCM performance reports and presenting them to leadership
  • Working knowledge of CPT (80000 series) and ICD-10 coding for laboratory procedures
  • Experience supervising a billing team
  • Current residence in Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, or Texas
