Job description

Join Medlytix, a fast-growing healthcare consulting and technology company specializing in predictive analytics for revenue cycles and collections in leading hospitals and healthcare providers.

This position will provide data capture and analysis support to the company. This person will be expected to perform patient account billing and client payment reconciliations with a high level of precision. This must be an energetic individual who is eager to learn and grow with our company.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for data review, reconciliation of patient financial accounts, and timely insurance billing
  • Navigation of multiple hospital and patient financial management systems
  • Business analysis of vendor services outcomes, applied to client billing processes
  • Audit performance updates and issue support to Client Services team for multiple Healthcare providers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years' experience in reconciliation, accounting or financial analysis
  • Experience with billing systems, system examples include: HealthQuest, Paragon, Optimum, Epic, Star, Cerner and Meditech
  • Knowledge of health insurance eligibility and billing specifically Medicare, Medicaid, BCBS and commercial insurers
  • General accounting experience (accounts payable, receivables, billing)
  • Strong business and data (financial) analysis, analytical and critical thinking capability
  • Ability to quickly learn new financial software applications
  • Demonstrable proficiency in Office 365 (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational skills with strict adherence to timelines and deadlines
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
