Job description

Role: Senior Manager Revenue Controller

Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end revenue accounting for external sales of approved gene therapy products in SAP S/4HANA ERP (US and UK).
  • Collaborate with FP&A/market access on gross-to-net (GTN) mutations (340B program); configure GTN components in SAP and define source-to-ledger finance processes with ASC 606 / IFRS 15 compliance.
  • Partner on 5-step revenue recognition, disclosure schedules, and SOX controls; design/implement relevant SOX controls for revenue, collections, and receivables (including hand-sake awareness with Commercial/Medical Affairs).
  • Provide data inputs for allowance for credit losses/impairment provisioning using CECL (ASC 326) and ECL (IFRS 9).
  • Build and manage revenue/receivables dashboards (e.g., aging, customer mutations, concentrations, collection trends/roll rates).
  • Lead global month/quarter/year-end close for revenue & accounts receivable: journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, analytical close review, variance analysis, and anomaly resolution in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
  • Establish reconciliation quality standards (thresholds, aging targets, roll-rates) and review JE/support.
  • Support transfer pricing accounting: record/monitor/true-up intercompany arrangements; align with policy/documentation; partner with Tax and advisors to operationalize calculations and settlements.
  • Design/maintain internal controls (SOX) over revenue, close, reconciliations, transfer pricing, and tax-related accounting; liaison with external auditors.
  • Contribute to SAP initiatives (process design, configuration input, testing, data integrity) and manage/mentor accounting staff.
Qualifications (Required)
  • Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance or related.
  • 10+ years progressive accounting, including gene/cell therapy commercial revenue and accounts receivable.
  • Cell/gene therapy company experience.
  • Experience managing transfer pricing accounting.
  • Strong US GAAP (primary) and IFRS knowledge.
  • Led financial close and owned balance sheet reconciliations.
  • SOX-compliant public-company control environment experience.
  • Hands‑on SAP S/4HANA Private/Public Cloud experience and strong Excel skills.
Preferred
  • People leadership/team management.
  • CPA/ACCA/Dutch RA (or equivalent).
  • Intercompany accounting and multi‑entity, multi‑currency consolidation experience.
  • Statutory reporting familiarity (US GAAP/IFRS) and experience transitioning clinical to commercial manufacturing.
