Job Title: Revenue Accounting Manager
Reports To: Controller
Department: Accounting
Summary
The Revenue Accounting Manager oversees all aspects of revenue accounting daily. This position monitors all revenue processes to ensure information is accurate and completed timely, thereby ensuring customers and royalty owners are provided excellent customer service and related accounting is complete and accurate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise the Revenue Accountant Supervisor and Revenue Assistant to ensure their duties are performed as required by their position
  • Supervise the monthly settlement process related to revenue accounts payable and ensure deadlines are met
  • Maintain and monitor monthly settlement calendar for entire Wolfepak process
  • Ensures volumes are gathered and recorded correctly and timely
  • Monitor/analyze suspense accounts
  • Ensure accuracy of payments and entries
  • File and pay severance taxes for various states
  • Ensure state and federal royalty reports are filed accurately and meet deadlines
  • Reconcile severance taxes
  • Reconcile suspense and clearing accounts associated with revenue
  • Process corrections and allocations
  • Review/approve revenue entries and tax/royalty filings
  • Monitor backup withholdings account and payments
  • Monitor customer service provided by the supervisor and assistant
Skill Requirements
  • Ability to perform responsibilities while being responsible for other’s workloads

  • Severance tax experience preferred
