Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Production Revenue Accountant to join a team in Cary, North Carolina in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate revenue records for both company-operated and franchised restaurant locations by reviewing transactions, resolving variances, and supporting timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical ability, comfort working with high-volume data, and a proactive approach to partnering with accounting and operations teams.
Responsibilities:
• Review revenue activity across multiple restaurant locations to identify trends, exceptions, and reporting issues on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Match sales records, bank deposits, cash activity, and card settlements to ensure transactions are recorded completely and accurately.
• Research and resolve variances between operational platforms, payment providers, and the general ledger.
• Oversee franchise-related revenue reporting, track sales submissions, and assist with billing activities tied to franchise operations.
• Reconcile third-party delivery transactions, including commissions, refunds, fees, and chargeback activity.
• Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules required for the month-end close process.
• Maintain revenue-related accounts such as receivables, gift card liabilities, and deferred revenue balances.
• Partner with franchise contacts, restaurant leadership, and internal departments to address discrepancies and improve reporting accuracy.
• Contribute to audit support, compliance efforts, and ongoing process improvements within revenue accounting workflows.• At least 3 years of experience in accounting, revenue accounting, or account reconciliation roles.
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyze large transaction volumes and identify discrepancies efficiently.
• Experience working with accounting and revenue-related systems, including WolfePak or similar platforms.
• Understanding of revenue reporting processes and general ledger reconciliation practices.
• Background in restaurant, retail, hospitality, franchise, or other multi-location business environments is preferred.
