Job description

B&GC, a place to celebrate the type of cocktailing and revelry often reserved for the elite, wealthy and powerful. A drinking spot revived from the ruins of the former Cherry Creek Post Office.

The Host will act as the first point of contact for guests; they will welcome all guests with a warm and friendly manner. In addition, the Host oversees maximizing the seating of the space.


Requested Tasks

  • Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner always adhering to service standards
  • Monitor guests' seating, always planning 2 steps ahead, ascertaining both guests’ and restaurants’ needs to maximize service flow
  • Use and accurately maintain restaurant reservation system - including but not limited to proper table status, rotations, cover counts, and guest notes.
  • Ensure that a table is properly utilized to maximize covers for the space; allow walkin seating as available
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
  • Performs opening and closing duties, as needed
  • Maintain a neat, organized and crisp environment
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, contributing to overall ambiance & presentation of the restaurant
  • Adhere to Makeready's Guiding Principles
  • Additional duties and assignments as assigned


Requested Capabilities
  • Prior experience in a restaurant highly preferred
  • Approachable and personable personality
  • Ability to be patient with guests' requests
  • Required to stand; walk; use hands to serve and clear food, beverages, plates/cutlery/glassware, additional objects as needed
  • Able to bend and kneel to clear tables, serve food, etc.
  • Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Adhere to Makeready & property policies and procedures as define
