Job description

SUMMARY: The Returns Clerk reports to the Sales Manager. Assists customer needs relating to the returns process and tracking defective product with vendors. Requires a high level of detail to inventory control. Assists in picking and shipping product in an accurate and timely manner; efficiently and safely transports, sorts, and stocks materials.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Handles customer returns and processing of defective product with vendors.
  • Maintain high level of communication throughout the returns process with customers.
  • Able to decipher customer needs and use diplomatic judgement when assisting.
  • Monitor vendor return credits and audit the ongoing process.
  • Maintains a safe, clean working environment.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Intermediate computer (ERP and Microsoft Outlook) and phones skills to enter returns data and respond to customers.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • One to two years related experience or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong team player, work ethic and commitment to job.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Maintain positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment.
  • Basic English language skills (both written and verbal communication)
  • Basic math skills to conduct physical inventory counts.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction after receiving training.
  • Able to pass a background check and/or drug screen as required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Continually required to stand, sit, talk or hear
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
  • Continually required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
  • Continually required to lift/push/carry items less than 25 pounds
  • Continually utilize visual acuity to operate general office equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
