Air Systems, Inc. is seeking a high-performing BAS Account Executive to drive growth across our Building Automation Systems (BAS) business. This role is responsible for developing new opportunities, expanding key client relationships, and delivering comprehensive HVAC controls solutions across new construction, retrofit, and energy optimization projects.

The ideal candidate combines technical BAS expertise with strong consultative sales skills, enabling them to position Air Systems as a trusted partner to owners, engineers, and contractors while consistently meeting revenue and margin targets.

Business Development & Sales Execution

  • Develop and execute a territory strategy to achieve bookings and gross margin goals
  • Identify, qualify, and close BAS opportunities across construction, retrofit, and retro-commissioning markets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, mechanical contractors, and consulting engineers
  • Expand existing accounts while actively developing new client relationships and vertical markets

Technical Sales & Estimating

  • Review project plans and specifications to design and estimate DDC/BAS control systems
  • Develop detailed proposals including scope, pricing, labor, materials, and subcontractor/vendor inputs
  • Lead RFP responses, technical presentations, and client solution discussions
  • Apply deep understanding of HVAC systems and controls to design energy-efficient, high-performance solutions

Project Development & Client Management

  • Participate in site walks, pre-bid meetings, and client consultations
  • Ensure accurate and complete turnover from sales to engineering and operations teams
  • Support project execution by assisting with scope clarification, issue resolution, and customer communication
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle

Pipeline Management & Forecasting

  • Maintain an active pipeline of qualified opportunities
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and bookings projections
  • Track and report sales activity, market trends, and performance metrics
  • Continuously refine targeting and sales strategies based on results

Industry Engagement & Market Presence

  • Represent Air Systems in industry associations and networking events
  • Stay current on BAS technologies, energy efficiency trends, and smart building solutions
  • Help position Air Systems as a leader in intelligent building systems and analytics-driven performance
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned 

Required

  • 2+ years of experience in BAS, HVAC controls, mechanical systems, or related technical sales/project management
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and building automation (DDC) applications
  • Proven experience with estimating and proposing controls or mechanical systems
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with BAS communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks)
  • Familiarity with Automated Logic Controls (ALC) or similar platforms
  • Experience selling energy efficiency, analytics, or smart building solutions

Competitive Salary

$90,000 - $140,000 per year based on experience.
