Retread Maintenance Technician's help drive the continued success of our Retread Centers by working safely and efficiently. Retread Maintenance Technicians will be responsible for all functions as it pertains to retread maintenance, including but not limited to power washing, preventive equipment maintenance, equipment repairs, and maintaining part inventory. The Retread Maintenance Technician position is focused on ensuring all equipment and the facility are maintained and running smoothly so demands of the commercial retread customer are met. Retread Maintenance Technicians are responsible for developing the skills necessary to work within the fast paced and detailed environment. A successful Retread Maintenance Technician will perform various daily duties as assigned by the Retread Plant Manager to ensure proper warehouse cleanliness and maintenance standards are upheld. Success in this role is measured in the technician's ability to learn new skills, provide excellent customer service, and promote an atmosphere of teamwork within in the organization.

Job Functions:

  • Maintain a safe and clean facility and use safety first practices to remain accident-free.
  • Use all safety related PPE such as gloves, safety glasses and vest, and harnesses or seatbelts while driving equipment.
  • Responsible for inspecting and verifying daily safety checks of equipment.
  • Dismantling and repairing or replacing faulty components.
  • Undertaking routine inspections of gearboxes, hydraulics, electrical systems, and frames.
  • Diagnose causes of malfunctioning of machines, motors, pumps, transformers, and related mechanical, electro/mechanical components.
  • Complete daily, monthly, and yearly inspections and accurately record inspection data.
  • Perform routine facilities maintenance and repairs.

Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred Experience:
  • Prior experience working in a distribution center/warehouse environment.
  • 1+ industrial maintenance experience preferred

Skills and Demands:

  • Hard Skills: Ability to learn and operate all facility equipment including computers, forklifts, floor scrubbers, and retreading machinery.
  • Soft Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, perform basic arithmetic functions: add, subtract, multiply, and divide, time management skills, organization skills, can-do attitude, sense of urgency, and strong work ethic.
  • Frequently lift and/or move over 75 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
