Position overview:
PlanITROI is seeking a Computer Hardware Light Cleaner for a temp-to-perm opportunity with a 90-day conversion period. The Computer Hardware Light Cleaner is responsible for performing light cleaning and cosmetic detailing of IT equipment, including laptops, desktops, monitors, and other electronic devices. This role ensures that devices meet company quality standards before they are processed for resale, refurbishment, or redistribution. This is an opportunity to be part of a growing company in the ITAD industry,
Responsibilities:
  • Perform light cleaning and dust removal on IT devices and hardware, using approved cleaning materials and techniques.
  • Wipe down and sanitize the surfaces, keyboards, and screens on laptops, notebooks, tablets, and other electronic devices.
  • Ensure all devices are free of dust, smudges, and debris before moving them to the next stage of processing.
  • Handle equipment with care to prevent damage during the cleaning process.
  • Identify and report any cosmetic issues that may require additional attention or repair.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following safety and handling guidelines and procedures.
  • Work efficiently to meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the production and quality control teams to ensure a seamless workflow.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or cleaning role is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of handling electronic devices safely.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow electronic cleaning guidelines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift (up to 50lbs)
