  • MUST BE PROFICIENT IN THE USE OF COMPUTERS
  • MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
  • MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM ASSIGNMENTS
  • MUST PASS DRUG SCREENING
  • MUST TAKE A PRE-EMPLOYMENT PLACEMENT EXAM

Post specifics:

  • This specific position is for a flex officer with a D License. The selectees will work at all of the sites in the area they are responsible for.
  • The schedule and pay rate varies from site to site. The average pay in Fort Myers area is around $17 per hour.
  • The primary duties include, but are not limited to: Foot patrol, entry control, vehicle patrol, covering for vacations and call outs, and other general security duties.
  • Some light housekeeping duties are required at the majority of our sites. Nothing too in depth, just clean up after yourself.
  • The selectee for this position tells us when they are available. We won't contact them outside of their availability. It's a perfect position for retired people or someone that needs supplemental income.
  • The flex officer role usually turns to full time after just a couple of weeks, if desired.
  • Priority hiring will be given to an applicant that has open availability.

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant flex officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. Our positions require strong observational skills, the ability to manage conflicts effectively, and a commitment to loss prevention. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring premises through surveillance systems, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. We have a strong need for officers that have a valid Class G License.

Possible duties and responsibilities:

  • Monitor assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of suspicious activity.
  • Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure comprehensive coverage of the premises.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies while following established protocols.
  • Enforce security policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment for all individuals on-site.
  • Conduct regular inspections of property and equipment to identify potential security risks.
  • Provide assistance during emergencies.
  • Ability to confront an individual(s) and solicit information from them as to why they are in a restricted area/property.
  • Document incidents and prepare reports detailing observations and actions taken during shifts.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure effective incident resolution.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of conflict management techniques and loss prevention strategies is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with surveillance technology and CCTV operation is an advantage.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; training may be provided for qualified candidates.
  • Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with diverse individuals in various situations.
