Retail stores are businesses that sell goods or products directly to consumers for personal or household use. They can range from small, independent shops to large chain stores, and may operate in physical locations, online, or both. Retail stores typically purchase merchandise from wholesalers or manufacturers and then sell it at a markup. Their main goal is to provide a convenient and accessible place for customers to buy a wide variety of products. Examples include clothing stores, electronics shops, supermarkets, and department stores.
