This Federal Work Study position will support current students by providing a chance for students to have their products and artwork be sold and made available for display to the general public. In addition, this position will complement and reinforce a Federal Work Study student's educational program or vocational goals by: Providing customer service experience in a retail environment and enhancing student's organization and management skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Welcome customers to the store and answer their queries
  • Maintain in-stock and presentable condition in retail stores
  • Assist with stock management
  • Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
  • Process POS (point of sale) purchases
  • Assist with e-commerce purchases and customer service
  • Assist with e-commerce website management (content and product updates)
  • Assist with e-commerce product presentation (photoshoot, styling, lookbook, etc)
  • Assist with generating, editing, publishing and sharing engaging social medias content
  • Report and suggest ways to improve sales
  • Open and close retail stores

Qualifications:
  • Basic understanding of retail principles and customer service
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willing to learn retail and ecommerce operations, and marketing
  • Interested in fashion, social media, design, arts and etc.
  • Plus - Active on or interested in social media, and retail / customer service experience
