Job Description
Summary/objective
Buffalo Rock is an award-winning Pepsi and Keurig Dr Pepper bottler founded in Birmingham, AL more than 123 years ago. Buffalo Rock manages the best alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage portfolio in the country, which includes several beloved global and regional brands. The primary duty of the RSM is to manage the retail sales function at the franchise level. This includes supervising the retail sales team, directing all retail sales and distribution of the products of the Buffalo Rock Company, and directing sales support workflow. The RSM is responsible for sales execution, sales operations, and point of sale, and for making sure all orders are made on time with all the product needed to complete the order.

Essential Functions
  • Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position. Position is required to work all hours necessary to ensure operations function is fulfilled, including nights, weekends, holidays. Travel may be required. May be required to be on-call.
  • Managing the retail sales function.
  • Supervising the retail sales team.
  • Interviewing, hiring, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, rewarding, and disciplining subordinate employees, and making recommendations with regard to promotions, demotions, and other changes of status.
  • Oversee the training function for retail sales employees.
  • Work with Employee Experience to schedule new hire orientations and work schedule.
  • Responsible for planning, assigning, and directing work for all Retail Sales Supervisors (RSS).
  • Responsible for conducting RSS employee evaluations.
  • Responsible for addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Responsible for both long term and short-term Product forecasting with GSM and warehouse operations for retail sales.
  • Monitor all accounts to ensure proper service based on Buffalo Rock Company Policy for service frequency.
  • Monitor all accounts to ensure accounts are serviced.
  • Develop and maintain positive professional customer relationships.
  • Consistently review relevant policies/procedures for possible change and properly communicate the changes.
  • Take responsibility for leading the assigned employee-partners in their daily task laid out for them to perform.
  • Must properly complete all required paperwork to Company Policy and timeline.
  • Must monitor accounts for full distribution of all authorized current and future products distributed by the Buffalo Rock Company based on the individual customer product authorization.
  • Achieve and monitor all account program key objectives.
  • Understand and use when needed the Progressive Discipline Procedures as outlined in the Company Policy Manual.
  • Ensure compliance with all equal opportunity, non-discrimination, and no-harassment laws and policies.
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews with employee-partners.
  • Coordinate and possibly assist with resets and new store openings.
  • Contribute to Sales Meetings to communicate all pertinent information on sales support, etc.
  • Participate and contribute to the franchise's "Strategic Planning" process.
  • Required to attend and/or participate in all scheduled meetings as directed.
  • Required to work any special events or other events associated with the Buffalo Rock Company or the Franchise as directed.
  • Adhere to customer policies for vendors or suppliers, which may include but are not limited to business conduct policies, business ethics policies, legal policies, and delivery and merchandising policies.
  • Produce a daily and weekly schedule for all sales support staff.
  • Manage retail route sequencing and any rerouting that is required.
  • Work with Operations on marketing strategies.
  • Manage for each RSS/ADC arrival of materials from ROCKY.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • Must exhibit a high level of ethical and moral conduct while at work or in attendance of any off-site function during work hours or after work hours while representing the Buffalo Rock Company.
  • Responsible for continuous self-improvement through the knowledge and use of all Buffalo Rock provided training, either web-based, in-house, or any other provided method. Must successfully complete assigned training curriculum, including but not limited to online and/or facilitated training.

Required education and experience
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); Required.
