Chevrolet Assistant Manager Retail Planning Incentives

This role is categorized as HYBRID. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Warren - Cadillac Tower three times per week, at minimum.

The Role:

The Chevrolet Sales Operations Team is seeking highly motivated and qualified individuals for the role of Chevrolet Assistant Retail Planning Incentives Manager.

Chevrolet Sales Operations is a dynamic, fast-paced group that supports all areas of Chevrolet Sales and Marketing, from internal Central Office teams to the national Chevrolet dealer network. You will work directly with Retail Planning Operations to deliver and communicate monthly sales and incentive tactics. This includes working closely with Sales Operations, GM Finance, and Marketing to define programs and obtain approval through the SMS (Sales, Marketing, and Scheduling) process.

In addition, you will serve as the product owner for the Connected Incentive Management System (CIMS) project. This project will define the future state of how dealers and customers receive incentive programs across all GM divisions. You will represent Retail Planning on the project and serve as the voice of the business throughout development, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement.

Level 7 Expectations - Individual Contributor

This role is expected to operate as a fully qualified, experienced professional who applies independent judgment to significant incentive-planning, systems, and business-process decisions. The role requires complete knowledge of Chevrolet retail planning and broad knowledge of related areas, including Sales Operations, Finance, Marketing, dealer operations, product launches, incentive governance, and enterprise technology.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Train other Retail Planning CIMS users, lead User Acceptance Testing tactics, and serve as system owner for CIMS 1.0 and 2.0
  • Manage monthly and periodic changes in incentive offers and ensure they are accurately configured in the CIMS system.
  • Host monthly proposal reviews with key stakeholders in Retail Planning and Finance
  • Lead content for the incentive section of the monthly Go to Market deck
  • Coordinate with cross-functional groups to create the Chevrolet Incentive Summary and High-Level Summary for distribution to the field and dealers
  • Maintain tracking of upcoming product launches to ensure applicable programs are included at launch
  • Develop and produce daily SFE progress and budget reporting
  • Develop and deliver presentations for Sales Operations and Finance reviews
  • Assist with lease payment examples
  • Support requests from retail advertising teams
  • Work on cross-functional projects and coordinate various ad hoc programs
  • Assist with execution of monthly Go to Market and Consensus calls
  • Navigate a complex organization to drive impactful and measurable business results
  • Serve as a key strategist for long-term incentive planning by identifying issues early and developing well-considered, actionable plans
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on competitive programs and their implications for Chevrolet's Go to Market strategy
  • Provide insights and corrective proposals to maintain Chevrolet's competitive position
  • Drive development of the CIMS / Connect project to ensure Retail Planning across all divisions has an effective tool to create and execute incentive programs
  • Identify, prioritize, and monitor corrective actions for CIMS development items, enhancements, and defects
  • Assist with and develop Power BI dashboards as needed
  • Confirm that appropriate resources are utilized and results are completed as planned

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related area
  • 5+ years of GM experience, including experience in Central Office, dealership, Marketing, or Service environments
  • Dealer contact experience
  • Experience with data analysis, incentive programs, product or systems ownership, and program management
  • Proven strong communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel, including VBA
  • Ability to work independently with limited guidance and exercise sound judgment on significant matters
  • Self-starter and quick learner who understands GM Central Office operations and the dealer network
  • Ability to quickly learn business processes, functional areas, and complex systems
  • Ability to influence and coordinate across functions without direct authority
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, resolve ambiguity, and deliver accurate results on time
  • Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, or provide guidance to other users or team members

What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Experience as a product owner, business process owner, systems owner, or lead business representative for an enterprise technology project
  • Experience with CIMS, Connect, Power BI, SFE reporting, incentive budgeting, or related retail-planning systems
  • Experience leading user acceptance testing, defect triage, requirements development, or system implementation
  • Experience with Chevrolet or competitive incentive strategy, lease programs, product launches, or Go to Market processes
  • Experience presenting recommendations to senior leadership and coordinating decisions across Finance, Marketing, Sales Operations, and technology teams
