Job description

Position Summary:
As the Assistant Planner, you will provide crucial support to the Planning team (encompassing Business, Demand, Supply, or DTC Planning). This role is essential for daily operational success, accurate reporting, and effective inventory management, while building a foundational understanding of sales trends and strategic planning processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Support in-season planning by executing daily/weekly reporting needs and tracking PO/inventory logs.
Support pre-season planning by executing hindsight reporting with key insights and assisting with market prep.
Learn and utilize the Anaplan Planning system along with other reporting tools to monitor delivery flow and forecast reporting.
Analyze and highlight opportunities in the business and provide actionable insights to VPs, Directors, and Planners.
Manage allocations and replenishment models to ensure optimal stock levels.
Build a foundational understanding of inventory management principles, including Open-to-Buy (OTB) and sales trend analysis.
Collaborate on special projects across various planning divisions to ensure business alignment.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners across the business.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or Math preferred.
1-2 years of experience in a finance or retail planning role (internship experience with a recognizable company is a plus).
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required (v-lookups, pivot tables, and data manipulation).
Strong financial acumen and the ability to work comfortably with numbers and retail math.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate them into actionable insights for inventory and sales.
Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, especially when handling data.
