Description
SAIC seeks an experienced and energetic Project Manager to directly support the modernization of the space launch ranges, meeting mission requirements, providing range capabilities, and supporting the Assured Access to Space (AATS) mission. The overarching purpose of the program is to perform system modernization and digital transformation projects that will enable the acceleration of the space launch cadence to enable the Spaceport of the future. This position is located in Cape Canaveral, FL.
Job Responsibilities:
  • In support of the government program office, the Project Manager is principally responsible for exceptional accomplishment of assigned Technical Direction Letters (TDLs) including all aspects of project execution (cost, schedule, performance, and technical requirements).
  • The PM is the program's "face-to-the-customer," responding to direction, negotiating project issues, team management, integration management, and successful completion of all project activities.
  • Leads a multi-functional team of mission, hardware and software engineering, sustainment, training, logistics, security (including cyber) and support specialists responsible for overall system operational availability.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's and ten (10) years or more of related experience; master's and eight (8) years or more experience; PhD or JD and five (5) years or more experience.
  • 5 years managing teams/projects acquiring, maintaining, and sustaining integrated solutions for mission-critical applications.
  • Experience delivering multiple simultaneous modernization initiatives.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communicating with customers to fully understand operational requirements; and in translating those requirements into project plans and performance measures.
  • Familiarity with mission-critical, data network operations, maintenance, and sustainment.
Desired Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
  • 9 years managing teams/projects acquiring, maintaining, and sustaining integrated solutions for DoD environments.
  • Experience managing teams/projects acquiring, maintaining, and sustaining integrated solutions for space launch or other national security space mission systems.
  • Experience managing large-scale Agile or DevSecOps teams/projects, to include support to backlog grooming, cost estimating, baseline and risk management, schedule development, performance monitoring and reporting.
  • Experience managing Digital and Model-based Systems Engineering efforts.
  • Current relevant project management certification - Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Project Management Institute Project Management Professional® (PMP) or Program Management Professional® (PgMP) Certification.
