POSITION SUMMARY:
A Golf Operation's Intern will work in a variety of positions that are aligned with Big Cedar Golf's and the PGA's objectives to diversify and expose associates to the wide scope of job responsibilities and duties. This position hopes to solidify candidate's passion for golf and guest hospitality and set up a career trajectory for future opportunities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Interact with guests in a variety of areas: Golf Shop, Outside Services, Caddie Program, Retail, Tournament Service's
  • Learn and manage the tee sheet software
  • Create hands-on routine for Golf Shop Retail/Merchandising management
  • Develop strong understanding of Tournament Management and Caddie Management Software
  • Performs daily SOPs in Golf Shop and Outside Services
  • Develop strong guest relations and problem-solving skills
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
  • Candidates should have basic golf knowledge
  • Candidates should have golf skills and passion to pursue PGA membership
  • Candidates should have basic computer and communication skills

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimal travel between golf courses

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Regularly walks, sits, stands, and does computer work.
Occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs.
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
