Job Description

We’re looking for a friendly, communicative, and customer service-oriented Store Manager to oversee daily operations at our store location. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in managing our team of retail associates, interfacing with our customers, and contributing to the overall success and profitability of the store. This position is responsible for the store and employees that work within. The Store Manager will be able to enhance customer satisfaction, meet sales and profitability goals, manage their team effectively, and lead by example in all areas of performance. The Store Manager ensures compliance is met for all company operations, policies, and procedures.

Objectives of this Role

Store Operations

  • Oversee all aspects of the store's operations, including sales performance, inventory management, and customer service.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize store profitability
  • Monitor and analyze sales reports to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
  • Control inventory losses by actively participating in loss prevention
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines
  • Manage store budgets and make regular bank visits to ensure registers and safes are well stocked
  • Actively participate in store activities including unloading of trucks, stocking shelves, assisting customers, maintaining a clean store appearance, changing the visual layout of the store, and more
  • Manage all controllable costs to keep operations profitable
  • Maintain a clean, organized, visually-appealing, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations

Human Resources

  • Active involvement in the recruitment, selection, and hiring of store team members
  • Must ensure all store employees have a working knowledge of the company’s procedures, policies, and products
  • Must ensure employees deliver excellent customer service to our customers

  • Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, priced, and displayed according to company guidelines
  • Regularly review inventory levels and collaborate with the buying team to replenish stock as needed

Daily and Weekly Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily activities of the store, including stocking inventory levels, inventory control/loss prevention, customer service, floor productivity, and safety
  • Schedule and oversee the store team to meet the demands of new shipment, floor coverage, and manage the flow and quality of the team to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
  • Inspect equipment and supplies, and oversee general maintenance as needed
  • Meet regularly with the Chief Executive Officer to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention

Position Type

  • Full-Time (4-5 days a week or equivalent to 40-hour work week)
  • Hours of Operations: (Mondays-Thursdays: 10AM-8PM; Fridays-Saturdays: 10AM-9PM; Sundays: 11AM-6PM
  • Overtime is not expected of this position, but may be required based on operational needs
