WHY THIS ROLE

Chambers USA ranks this firm's real estate practice Band 1 nationally, and the firm has held a Vault Top 10 Overall Best Law Firm to Work For ranking for over a decade running. This is a genuine combination: institutional-grade deal flow (billion-dollar fund-level credit facilities, trophy ground leases, complex multi-asset joint ventures) at a non-hierarchical global platform where mid-level associates function as day-to-day deal leads and primary client contacts from the start. Comp ranges from $295K–$370K base ($375K–$485K OTE), reflecting the platform's standing in the market. The firm has a documented preference for promoting homegrown mid-levels to partnership rather than lateral-hiring above them.

You'll join a full-service real estate transactions team handling the complete spectrum of commercial real estate work: acquisitions, dispositions, mortgage and mezzanine financings, preferred equity, fund-level credit facilities, JV formation and negotiation, development, and leasing. -------------------------------------------------------------

REQUIREMENTS

Experience: 4–6 years post-bar in real estate transactions or real estate finance at an AmLaw 100 or comparable real estate-strong firm

• Substantive transactional drafting and negotiation experience: PSAs, loan agreements, mortgages, mezzanine documents, intercreditor agreements, JV/operating agreements, development agreements, and leases

• Experience supervising junior associates and serving as primary day-to-day client contact on matters

Preferred:

• Experience on both lender-side and borrower-side transactions

• Exposure to complex capital structures (mezz, preferred equity, intercreditor, fund finance)

• Deep familiarity with JV agreement negotiation across multiple asset classes

Tech Stack: Westlaw, LexisNexis, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, iManage, DocuSign, Dealio, RealPage

Bar Admission: State bar required for relevant office location
