Water Technician (As-Needed / Hourly Position)

Location: Detroit, Berkley, Royal Oaks, Ann Arbor, Michigan

About Our Client

Our Client is a growing restoration company specializing in water damage mitigation, fire restoration, mold remediation, and emergency response services. The company is committed to providing fast, high-quality service while maintaining professionalism, safety, and customer care during challenging situations.

Position Overview

Our Client is seeking dependable and motivated Water Technicians to support emergency mitigation and restoration projects throughout Michigan on an as-needed basis. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in water damage restoration, demolition, structural drying, and emergency response who are looking for flexible, hourly project-based work opportunities.

The Water Technician will respond to residential and commercial property losses caused by water, storm, sewage, mold, and related damages. Candidates must be comfortable working in fast-paced environments, responding to emergency calls, and assisting with mitigation and restoration efforts to return properties to pre-loss condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform emergency water extraction and mitigation services

  • Set up and monitor drying equipment including air movers and dehumidifiers

  • Conduct demolition of damaged materials including drywall, flooring, insulation, and cabinetry

  • Take moisture readings and document affected areas

  • Assist with mold remediation and containment procedures when necessary

  • Clean, sanitize, and deodorize affected structures and contents

  • Maintain proper documentation, photos, and job notes
