Construction Production Manager Disaster Restoration & Reconstruction

Location: Half Moon Bay / Coastside, CA

About Lyon Restoration

Lyon Restoration is a locally owned, independent disaster restoration company serving the Coastside and surrounding Peninsula communities, including San Francisco. We specialize in water, fire, smoke, and mold damage mitigation and reconstruction.

We're hands-on, accountable, and deeply committed to helping people in crisis while delivering elite-level service and craftsmanship.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Construction Production Manager who can own the execution side of the business--someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, leads teams with confidence, and ensures every job runs efficiently, profitably, and at a high standard.

This role is critical. You are the bridge between sales, estimating, field production, and customer experience.

If you're someone who:

  • Takes pride in running tight, profitable jobs
  • Holds teams accountable without losing culture
  • Understands both mitigation AND reconstruction workflows
  • Wants to help scale a growing company

this is your seat.

Key Responsibilities

Production Oversight

  • Manage all active jobs from kickoff through completion (mitigation + reconstruction)
  • Ensure proper job sequencing, staffing, and scheduling
  • Monitor job progress, budgets, and timelines daily
  • Identify and solve production bottlenecks quickly

Team Leadership

  • Lead technicians, laborers, and subcontractors
  • Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable to performance standards
  • Train and develop field staff (IICRC standards, safety, efficiency)
  • Maintain a strong, positive, high-performance culture

Quality Control

  • Ensure work meets IICRC standards and company quality expectations
  • Conduct job site visits and inspections
  • Oversee containment, drying, demo, cleaning, and rebuild quality
  • Ensure proper documentation (photos, moisture logs, job notes)

Financial Performance

  • Manage job costs to hit or exceed gross profit targets
  • Review labor, equipment usage, and material costs
  • Work closely with estimating to align scope vs execution
  • Prevent scope creep and production inefficiencies

Customer Experience

  • Serve as an escalation point for client concerns
  • Ensure clear communication with homeowners, property managers, and adjusters
  • Deliver a "raving fan" experience on every job

Systems & Compliance

  • Ensure proper use of tools like Encircle, Xactimate, and TPA platforms (e.g., Alacrity)
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company SOPs
  • Oversee documentation needed for billing and insurance reconciliation

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years in restoration, construction, or related field
  • 2+ years in a leadership or management role
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Water mitigation (drying, demo, psychrometrics)
  • Reconstruction workflows
  • Experience managing multiple jobs simultaneously
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred

  • IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT)
  • Experience with Xactimate and insurance claims
  • TPA program experience (Alacrity, Contractor Connection, etc.)

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)

  • Full ownership of scheduling and production flow
  • Improved job cycle times and fewer delays
  • Strong team alignment and accountability
  • Cleaner documentation and fewer billing issues
  • Positive feedback from customers and adjusters

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary + performance incentives
  • Bonus opportunities tied to job profitability and KPIs
  • Company vehicle or vehicle allowance
  • Paid time off + holidays
  • Training and career development
  • Opportunity to grow into a senior leadership role

Why Lyon Restoration

  • Tight-knit, high-performing team
  • Real autonomy and decision-making authority
  • Direct impact on company growth
  • No corporate bureaucracy
  • Work that actually matters--helping people recover after disasters

How to Apply

Submit your resume along with a short note explaining:

  • Your experience managing production teams
  • A challenging job you successfully led
