Concrete Restoration Estimator - Construction - Base Salary to 100k/year - Sewell, NJ

  • Our client is a multinational access, scaffolding, and forming/shoring partner serving commercial, industrial, and infrastructure markets. They specialize in restoring and extending the service life of existing structures by delivering turnkey concrete repair, masonry restoration, waterproofing, structural rehabilitation, and building envelope restoration solutions.
  • They are seeking an experienced Concrete Restoration Estimator to join their growing team. This fully remote position is open to candidates anywhere in the United States and is focused exclusively on estimating commercial and industrial concrete restoration, masonry restoration, waterproofing, structural repair, and rehabilitation projects. This is not a new construction estimating role. Candidates must have experience estimating self-performed restoration work.

Responsibilities:

  • Review drawings, specifications, engineering reports, repair details, and bid documents to develop complete scopes for concrete restoration, masonry restoration, waterproofing, and structural rehabilitation projects.
  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and prepare accurate cost estimates for concrete restoration, masonry repair, waterproofing, structural concrete repair, parking garage restoration, expansion joints, epoxy injection, carbon fiber reinforcement (FRP), post-tension repairs, coatings, sealants, and related restoration services.
  • Develop labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, production rate, and self-performed cost estimates.
  • Work closely with operations to determine project means and methods, labor production, equipment requirements, sequencing, and pricing strategy.
  • Solicit, evaluate, and incorporate subcontractor and supplier quotations into final estimates.
  • Identify scope gaps, exclusions, project risks, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Prepare complete bid packages and proposal documentation.
  • Support pre-bid meetings, site visits, estimate reviews, and turnover meetings as needed.
  • Provide a seamless turnover of awarded projects by communicating estimate assumptions, scope, production rates, and pricing.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of estimating experience specifically within concrete restoration, masonry restoration, waterproofing, structural concrete repair, parking garage restoration, or structural rehabilitation.
  • Experience estimating self-performed restoration projects for commercial, industrial, institutional, or multifamily structures.
  • Experience interpreting restoration plans, specifications, engineering reports, repair details, and existing structure rehabilitation documents.
  • Strong understanding of restoration means and methods, labor production, project costing, production rates, and self-performed construction.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience estimating projects ranging from small repair scopes to multi-million-dollar restoration projects.
  • Experience estimating specialty restoration scopes including concrete repair, masonry repair, waterproofing, structural repair, expansion joints, epoxy injection, carbon fiber reinforcement (FRP), coatings, and post-tension repairs.

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 70k - 100k/year range, depending on experience plus annual bonus.
