Position Summary:

Responsible for handling incoming calls and scheduling all appointments for the Rehab department. Must be able to effectively communicate and interact well with the public. 


Qualifications:

Education/ Experience: High school graduate or equivalent.  Knowledge of medical terminology and experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Previous experience working in a clinical setting and/or experience with scheduling software is preferred. 


Other Requirements:  Experience with electronic health records preferred. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to problem solve, prioritize and organize tasks.   


Requirements

Essential Functions Of The Position: 

  • FTS follow up calls to reschedule/remind of next appointment.
  • Assistance with data collection for month end statistical reports.
  • Routine department cleaning, restocking of supplies.
  • Call outpatients to schedule initial evaluations and appointments and reminder calls as needed.
  • Ensure appropriate referral is on file and necessary insurance information is provided by the patient at the time of initial visit.
  • Contact physician offices for referrals and/or reports as requested by therapists or management.
  • Collects co-pays, provide receipt to patients and track co-payments.
  • Create and maintain caseload sheet for all therapists.
  • Monitor charts on hold; contact patients to reschedule as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned by Rehab Director.
