About Hit Parader Live:
Hit Parader Live is a new supper-club-style venue located in the heart of Nashville - where rock & roll attitude meets elevated hospitality. Inspired by the iconic Hit Parader Magazine and the legacy of music's golden eras, our venue will host live performances, celebrity after-parties, private events, and unforgettable nights of food, drinks, and music.


Position Overview

The Barback is the secret weapon to keeping the space stocked and sparkling in order for guests to have the best experience possible while attending an event, performance or just grabbing drinks with friends. The barback assists the bartenders while working behind the scenes to maintain inventory, clean glassware and bar tools, restock syrups and citruses, back stocking liquor and much more. This is a great entry level opportunity for those wanting to learn more about bartending in order to step into the role themselves one day.


Key Responsibilities

  • Restocking liquor bottles, beer, wine and mixers
  • Making and prepping any mixers, syrups or juices made in house
  • Cutting and restocking garnishes
  • Refilling ice bins along with restocking whiskey cubes
  • Regularly lifting heavier items in cases such as: changing kegs in the cold room, moving cases of beer, liquor or NA items, and changing out soda bibs
  • Ensuring glassware is gathered, cleaned properly, polished and restocked
  • Ensuring the use of FIFO to prevent waste and spoilage
  • Clean and maintain bar equipment and utensils, as well as the work area, to ensure a safe and hygienic environment
  • Breaking down boxes and taking out trash to maintain clean spaces
  • Cleaning up bar spills to prevent slips and taking care of any broken glass or bottles to ensure bar safety
  • Communicating with bartenders to ensure they have what they need to take care of guests
  • Running drinks when needed to assist in service
  • Answering questions about the menu or flow of service for guests when needed and maintaining menu knowledge and excellent hospitality


Ideal Candidate

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must be TABC Alcohol Certified
  • Desire to learn and grow in bartending
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-centered attitude
  • Must be able to stay fast and efficient in fast paced, high volume, space
  • Must be able to stay organized and maintain clean spaces
  • Must be able to work in a space with live music and manage service with louder decibel levels
  • Able to move and/or lift up to 20 pounds regularly and occasionally 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, navigate stairs and uneven surfaces in a dimly light environment
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays
