Job description

The Associate Field Training Manager strengthens training execution across Canada with the focus on Quebec by delivering Wendy’s University programs, leading LTO and operational training, certifying Training Restaurants, supporting new market openings, and elevating field capability. The role drives consistent execution and builds operational talent across assigned markets. The Associate Field Training Manager will partner with the FOM, and Operators in markets to drive overall performance. This role will support the Quebec market and several surrounding markets.

  • Facilitate Wendy’s University Programs:
    • Deliver Wendy’s University Core & More Programs with strong instructional quality.
    • Build leadership capability through coaching of restaurants and multi-unit leaders.
    • Reinforce consistent training culture across assigned markets.
    • Evaluate adoption and identify opportunities to improve program effectiveness.
  • Support and conduct market-based training:
    • Lead scheduling, coordination, and delivery of LTO, product, and operational training.
    • Deliver standardized training materials to ensure accurate and consistent execution.
    • Conduct followup coaching to reinforce standards and close performance gaps.
    • Identify training priorities based on field performance.
  • Lead Training Restaurant Certification
    • Own the certification and recertification of Training Restaurants within assigned markets.
    • Conduct WDRV and trainingenvironment assessments to verify certification readiness.
    • Provide targeted coaching to strengthen training restaurant capability and performance.
    • Ensure districts maintain sufficient Training Restaurant coverage.
  • Support the training of New franchisee restaurant openings:
    • Execute structured training plans for new openings, including crew and management readiness.
    • Prepare trainers and restaurant teams to meet standards and opening timelines.
    • Track progress and provide targeted support to ensure smooth launches.
    • Conduct postopening evaluations to confirm sustained performance.
  • Field Coaching & Operational Support:
    • Conduct field visits to assess execution, training adoption, and leadership behaviors.
    • Deliver concise coaching to improve capability and performance.
    • Identify gaps and partner with operations to address root causes.
    • Support district and market priorities with targeted field presence.

  • Gérer la certification des restaurants-écoles 
    •    Assurer la gestion de la certification et de la recertification des restaurants de formation dans les marchés qui lui sont attribués.
    •    Réaliser des évaluations WDRV et des   environnements de formation afin de vérifier la préparation à la certification.
    •    Offrir un accompagnement ciblé afin de renforcer les capacités et la performance des restaurants de formation.
    •    S’assurer que les districts maintiennent une couverture suffisante de restaurants de formation.
  • Soutenir la formation des nouveaux franchisés lors de l’ouverture de restaurants :
    •    Exécuter des plans de formation structurés pour les nouvelles ouvertures, incluant la préparation des équipiers et des équipes de gestion.
    •    Préparer les formateurs et les équipes des restaurants à respecter les normes et les délais d'ouverture.
    •    Suivre les progrès et fournir un soutien ciblé pour garantir des lancements réussis.
    •    Effectuer des évaluations après   l’ouverture afin de confirmer le maintien de la performance.
  • Encadrement sur le terrain et soutien opérationnel :
    •    Effectuer des visites sur le terrain pour évaluer la mise en œuvre, l’adoption de la formation et les comportements de leadership.
    •    Fournir un coaching concis pour améliorer les compétences et les performances.
    •    Identifier les écarts et collaborer avec les équipes des opérations afin d’en déterminer les causes profondes.
    •    Soutenir les priorités du district et du marché par une présence ciblée sur le terrain.

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3years in operations with experience in training
  • Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills; able to lead instruction for a wide range of audiences
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related presentation tools
  • Strong Organizational and Planning Skills
  • Strong Written and Oral Communication skills
  • Communication skills (written and verbal) in supporting regional language

Expected Work Location (Field): It is expected that you will primarily perform work at Wendy's Restaurants or to other field locations as designated by the Company. When not working at a Wendy's location, you are permitted to work remotely. Changes to work location arrangements are subject to managerial approval and business needs.
