Job description

Groot Hospitality is looking for a flexible and versatile nightlife marketer with experience in creating successful and fresh marketing campaigns within the restaurant and hospitality arena. This individual will be responsible for managing communication with culinary/operations, venue initiatives, and developing marketing campaigns that drive reservations and brand awareness. To be successful in this role, you should have hands-on experience creating and managing restaurant marketing plans in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Ultimately, you will help us build and maintain strong and consistent marketing efforts through a wide range of online and offline marketing channels.
Responsibilities:
  • Create, manage, and deploy successful event restaurant marketing campaigns while owning their implementation from ideation to execution.
  • Develop and implement strategies that drive awareness and patrons to our restaurant venues.
  • Develop and maintain a strong brand narrative for each restaurant, ensuring brand consistency across all marketing channels.
  • Communicate and coordinate with culinary and operation teams to plan and execute campaigns
  • Work hand in hand with the Digital Marketing Manager on digital campaigns, website updates, and marketing initiative needs.
  • Create and distribute regular email blasts/newsletters while working in tandem with the digital marketing manager and design team
  • Preplanning and execution on all important dates throughout the year in local markets including public holidays, offsite events, social media days, openings, and sporting events.
  • Work daily with the Graphic Design Team for all venue assets, edits and needs to drive brand awareness (i.e., Promotions, Events, Campaigns, Holidays, Culinary, Etc.).
  • Work with promotional partners to create assets and marketing lounge activations
  • Collaborate with company partners for cross promotional opportunities
  • Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals and company KPIs.
  • Suggest and develop content creation ideas/plans with Social Media Managers
  • Analyze consumer behavior and adjust marketing, email, and advertising campaigns accordingly
  • Build strategic relationships and partner with key players, influencers, agencies, and vendors.
  • Prepare and monitor the marketing budget, under the leadership of the department head, on a quarterly and annual basis while allocating funds accordingly.
  • Working non-traditional hours throughout the year (i.e., Holiday's, festivals, offsite dining experiences, occasional social coverage, and other locally driven events).
  • Experiment with a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels like content creation/curation, pay per click campaigns, event management, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting, and performance analysis.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 5-6 years of marketing experience working with in restaurant marketing.
  • Ability to work with all personality's types even in adverse situations.
  • Strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and non-verbally with others.
  • Well versed in project management within a team setting.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media marketing, and traditional marketing.
  • A sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and witty communication.
  • BSc/MSc degree in Marketing or related field.
