ActioNet is looking for an experienced Senior/SME Web Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain secure, scalable web applications and content solutions supporting mission-critical marine, aviation, and unmanned systems. This role is responsible for developing modern, user-focused applications that operate across both on-premises and cloud-based environments while collaborating closely with stakeholders, designers, and technical teams to deliver high-quality digital solutions. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in full-stack web development, user interface design, application integration, and software development best practices.
Salary Range: 112,000-206,000
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain web-based applications and content management solutions supporting marine, aviation, and unmanned systems.
  • Collaborate with customers, users, business analysts, and technical teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Develop responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces using modern web technologies and professional design tools.
  • Create visual, content-rich web experiences that follow established user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles.
  • Develop and maintain applications operating in both physical and cloud-based environments.
  • Build, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs and web services supporting enterprise applications.
  • Develop secure, scalable, and maintainable code following software engineering best practices and organizational coding standards.
  • Perform application testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Generate application, website, and user analytics using custom or commercial reporting tools to support operational decision-making.
  • Support configuration management, version control, software releases, and change management activities.
  • Ensure applications comply with cybersecurity, accessibility, and federal security requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, design specifications, and user documentation.
  • Support modernization initiatives, cloud migration efforts, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership on complex development efforts.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience developing and maintaining enterprise web applications. Candidates with 10 or more years of directly related experience are highly preferred.
  • Experience supporting marine, aviation, or related operational environments is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining secure web applications in Windows, Linux, and cloud environments.
  • Strong experience with front-end and back-end web development technologies.
  • Experience developing responsive web applications using modern UI/UX design principles.
  • Experience integrating APIs, databases, and enterprise applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Visual Design, Digital Design, or a related field from an accredited college or university is preferred.
