Job description

The Avenue at Broadview Heights is a Post-Hospital Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Care Facility that offers a distinctive environment not commonly found in skilled nursing facilities. From our hotel-like environment to our all private suites, the Avenue is committed to providing an excellent level of physical, medical, emotional and spiritual support in an environment of comfort and respect. Our facility provides some of the area’s highest level of rehabilitation, nursing and medical support to individuals needing post-hospital care and services. We are looking for a committed individual with a reputation for being cheerful and friendly as they administer care to our residents.

As a Respiratory Therapy Program Manager for Progressive Quality Care, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to assess, treat, and manage respiratory conditions. Your expertise will contribute to the overall well-being of our residents, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care.

Working under the direction of a pulmonologist, the primary responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapy Program Manager will be as follows:

  • Conduct respiratory assessments, including pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
  • Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitor patients’ responses to therapy and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and disease management.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
  • Provide emergency respiratory support during critical situations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Licensure/Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in operating respiratory equipment and devices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
