Job Title: Junior ERP Planner

Job Summary: The Junior ERP Planner is responsible for supporting planning operations through the maintenance, accuracy, and continuous improvement of data within the Company's ERP system. This role focuses on ERP master data management, data cleanup, inventory analysis, reporting, and planning support activities. The Junior ERP Planner works closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Inventory Control, Quality, and Customer Service to ensure accurate system data that supports production planning, material availability, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
ERP Data Management & Maintenance
  • Maintain and update item master records within the ERP system.
  • Perform ongoing ERP data cleanup and validation activities.
  • Identify and correct inaccurate, duplicate, obsolete, or incomplete records.
  • Assist with new item creation, item revisions, and engineering change implementation.
  • Maintain product attributes, lead times, and planning-related data.
  • Assist in maintaining Bills of Material (BOMs) and routing information.

Planning & Inventory Support
  • Monitor inventory levels and help identify shortages, excess inventory, and discrepancies.
  • Support inventory reconciliation and cycle count investigations.
  • Work closely with Purchasing and Production teams to support material availability.
  • Assist in tracking and resolving planning-related issues.

Reporting & Analysis
  • Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Maintain planning trackers, KPI reports, and department metrics.
  • Analyze inventory and planning data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support SIOP reporting and planning activities.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as requested.

System Integrity & Continuous Improvement
  • Perform routine audits to ensure ERP data accuracy.
  • Investigate system transaction discrepancies and assist with corrective actions.
  • Document planning and ERP processes as needed.
  • Support ERP enhancements, testing activities, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on data accuracy and operational efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Inventory Control, Quality, and Customer Service teams.
  • Communicate data discrepancies and support issue resolution.
  • Assist with departmental projects and operational initiatives.
  • Support company objectives through accurate and timely data management.

Required Background & Capabilities
  • Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, inventory control, planning support, purchasing support, data management, or administrative support preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred; Syteline experience is a plus.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management and manufacturing processes preferred.
