Job description

Markon is building a talent pool of Senior Resource Managers to support future Intelligence Community customer missions. This pipeline opportunity is intended to identify qualified candidates to support both budget formulation and budget execution activities in alignment with mission and financial management priorities. Selected candidates will be considered for future openings supporting program planning, resource allocation, and financial oversight. Responsibilities * Assist with development of organizations financial strategies for current year and future years
* Analyze customer financial information to monitor spend against annual budget
* Recommend tools / methods / mechanisms to improve the overall tracking and understanding of the organization's financial status
* Ensure financial data integrity by preparation and reconciliation of financial data
* Assist in monitoring spend rates, estimate at completion, and estimate to complete
* Attend necessary budgetary exercise meetings to provide support to group level managers
* Assist in providing financial information on data calls assigned to customer
* Interface with others across Office to best support the customer mission
* Maintain internal processes, make recommendations for improvements, track expenses, obligated/committed/expensed, monitor budget line items and provide guidance if overruns/underruns are anticipated Qualifications * 12+ years of experience and familiarity with customer organization in a financial / budget / RM role. * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. * Ability to work independently and proactively as well as apply creativity in a fast-paced environment. * Demonstrated experience in resolving complex problems including organizing and structuring solutions. * Experience constructing and maintaining back-up documentation on programmatic, organizational, or resource topics. * Proven ability to interact with customers, senior leaders and program managers in matrixed environment. * Experience preparing briefing materials.
