Job description

Your Role:

The primary responsibility of the Senior Resource Management Specialist is to manage resourcing for all potential and assigned Professional Services and Education engagements. This position requires that the individual be the liaison among the Services Account Managers and Delivery Managers as it relates to resourcing across all work. The Resource Management Specialist must also ensure that project resourcing is managed in order to ensure timely delivery. 
Your Opportunity:

  • Collaborate closely with Delivery and Portfolio teams to centralize resource management activities
  • Obtain resources for all Professional Services and Training engagements based on expertise and calendar availability for work outlined in Statements of Work
  • Communicate with clients and internal stakeholders to coordinate scheduling for Professional Services and Training engagements
  • Manage and resolve resource booking conflicts
  • Support engagement lifecycle for services from booking to scheduling, delivery, and revenue recognition
  • Participate in weekly resource meetings with Services Account/Delivery Managers to identify appropriate resource requirements for each engagement and facilitate resourcing issues/conflict resolution
  • Build, maintain, and communicate resource forecasts based on weekly meetings with Professional Services leads
  • Monitor day to day project activities and resourcing, identifying potential instances of underutilization and actively work with the Team Leads to address and solve those issues
  • Manage provision of virtual training courses
  • Assist with managing and increasing utilization numbers on the Professional Services team.
  • Assist with managing subcontractor utilization and making business decisions to ensure work is delivered efficiently and subcontracts are used effectively.
  • Identify areas for process or system improvements to increase RMO efficiency
  • Participate in projects to develop and implement solutions that drive RMO efficiency
  • Coordinate business development resource assignment
  • Month end responsibilities:
  • Communicate theater's project closure timeline to Operations
  • Monitor project closure progress during the final week of the month
  • Ensure Resource Management month end activities are complete to assist with Operations' end of month processes
  • Efficiently work within software applications like Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, NetSuite, Financial Force, and Salesforce
  • Mentor and guide Resource Management Specialists in best practices, process, and key aspects of resource management
  • Identify and manage potential engagements that should be subcontracted to our partners. Ensure that proper process is followed and engagements are closed out in a timely fashion
  • Point of escalation for Resource Management Specialists 
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time

What You'll Need:

  • 5 years of resource management or project management experience in software solutions industry
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred. May substitute experience for education.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications including Microsoft Excel
  • Conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills
  • Clear and concise communication in both written and verbal form
  • Ability to be diplomatic or firm when necessary in order to drive business forward or obtain results
  • Highly detail oriented and able to work autonomously
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines with confidence and ease
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload across multiple groups
  • Ability to work at a computer for an extended period of time
  • Globally distributed client organization that operates both in-office and remotely
  • Participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings; sometimes being the presenter of these trainings
  • Infrequent travel required

And Ideally:

  • RMCP certification 
  • Salesforce/Certina experience a plus
