Job description

The PeopleSoft ERP Manager's role is to supervise and maintain the organization's PeopleSoft application through best practices and the appropriate staffing and management of a technical team. The PeopleSoft ERP Manager is also responsible for planning and coordinating the processes required for the provision of the PeopleSoft application, interfaces and sub-systems. This individual will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to guide and assist the user group on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems.
The PeopleSoft ERP Manager also functions as a hands-on Project Manager and analyst as needed to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluating, installing, configuring, and deploying new applications, system interfaces, products, and enhancements to the existing PeopleSoft application.

  • Analyzing documentation and technical specifications of application upgrades/ enhancements under deployment or consideration to determine its intended functionality.

  • Managing the development and deployment of new PeopleSoft enhancements, upgrades, interfaces and related systems.

  • Ensuring that development projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.

  • Leading and managing the performance of the application team and external resources in support of business operations.

  • Liaising with network administrators and software engineers to assist with quality assurance, program logic, and data processing.

  • Reviewing and analyzing existing applications' effectiveness and efficiency and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.

  • Developing and communicating training and documentation for end users, hold clinics as necessary, and other user-related activities.

  • Supporting commitment to safety and other selected company standards and certifications

  • Performing other position-related duties as specified by management

Position Specifications:
Education and Experience
  • Four-year college degree with six years Peoplesoft ERP experience (must be from an accredited institution) or twelve years Peoplesoft ERP experience without a college degree

Technical Skills and Competencies Required
  • Demonstrated ability in leading staff and cross-functional teams.

  • Proven experience in overseeing or leading the design, development, and implementation of major PeopleSoft enhancements and/or upgrades.

  • Strong functional expertise in at least 3 PeopleSoft disciplines.

  • Working knowledge of the PeopleSoft architecture and database organization.

  • Thorough understanding of Excel, Query, Crystal, SQL and other business tools.

  • Proven experience in the operation and analysis of database, hardware, software, and standards, and data retrieval methodologies.

  • Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.

  • Strong customer-service orientation.

  • Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures.

  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.

Pay Range:
$103,000 - $145,000*
*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
