Employment Status: Full Time or Part Time Seasonal
Wage Range: $13.00 to $15.00 + Tips

Position Summary:
The Gourmandie is a specialty food and wine market located in Schweitzer’s Village. The Clerk is responsible for both guest facing and back of house food prep.
Please note: Work schedule will include weekends and holidays.
Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:
  • Welcome customers, offering exceptional guest service.
  • Take customer food & drink orders with the ability to recommend products from the menu as well as the beverage selections.
  • Create and produce outstanding food and unique deli items.
  • Stock, rotate and merchandise market items.
  • Assisting with the tidying of tables and keeping the outlet areas clean and organized.
  • Ensuring kitchen and service utensils are properly prepared and / or cleaned at opening and closing to comply with health regulations.
  • Work schedule will include weekends and holidays.

POSITION SUMMARY:
  • Welcoming clients and directing them according to their needs within the outlet.
  • Taking customer food & drink orders with the ability to recommend products from the menu as well as the beverage selections.
  • Create and produce outstanding food and unique deli items.
  • Assisting with the tidying of tables and keeping the outlet areas neat and pleasant.
  • Ensuring kitchen and service utensils are properly prepared and / or cleaned at opening and closing to comply with health regulations.
  • As a Gourmandie and Schweitzer staff member you will learn about all the facilities, services, and activities that are offered on the mountain and will be able to effectively communicate this information to guests.

Specific Job Skills:
License/Certifications - SafeServe certification preferred and Idaho Beverage Seller training preferred
Technical - Point of Sale computer system familiarity, Cash handling skills
Physical Capabilities - Able to walk/stand for a full shift (potentially for up to 10 hours), lift up to 50 lbs.
Additional - comfortable around sharp kitchen equipment
Education/Related Experience:
Minimum education required - English reading, writing and communication. High School or GED preferred
Minimum time in related position - 6 months in food retail preferred
