Job description

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Design Coordinator to join our PDS team in our Atlanta, GA office. This is a full-time, in-person position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate design processes for complex Mission Critical commercial projects.
  • Facilitate integration between design and construction teams.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications, especially MEP disciplines.
  • Conduct cross-discipline design quality reviews.
  • Assess design document status by phase and project needs.
  • Identify and address design and engineering challenges.
  • Collaborate with owners, designers, engineers, and subcontractors for issue resolution.
  • Manage deadlines, maintain files, and provide reporting.
  • Coach and mentor junior associates.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • 5-8+ years of experience in an architectural, engineering, or construction position.
  • Experience managing complex Mission Critical commercial projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong ethical standards and ability to have difficult conversations professionally.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Preferred:

  • Experience in Data Center and Mission Critical facilities.
  • Experience with contract documents and various project delivery methods.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring junior team members.
  • Ability to innovate and adapt to new technology.
  • Open to additional responsibilities as the role and department evolve.
