IC Warehouse Associate

Location: Aberdeen, MD | Department: Inventory Control / Quality Assurance | Job Type: Full-time | Pay: $23.50 - $25.00 | Schedule: Night Shift

About the Role: Your Impact

As an IC Warehouse Associate, you are the guardian of inventory integrity and product quality within our fulfillment network. You play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of all stock and the quality of merchandise, which directly impacts customer satisfaction and reduces loss. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, advanced system work, and physical capability, all while operating in a fast-paced environment and adhering to strict safety protocols.

What You’ll Do (Core Responsibilities)

Your primary focus will be on inventory accuracy and quality control, which may require cross-training in other departments (Receiving, Shipping, Returns) to resolve discrepancies:

Inventory Control & Accuracy:

  • Perform comprehensive Cycle Counts (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) of warehouse locations to ensure systematic stock accuracy.

  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including managing damaged, misplaced, or missing products from the moment the exception is detected until its resolution.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot reports related to unavailable inventory, defects, and adjustments to proactively identify and address stock issues.

Quality Assurance & Audits:

  • Perform quality inspections of inbound units and existing warehouse stock, assessing the condition of items and processing damaged or non-conforming items for disposition.

  • Complete putaway audits, relabel products as needed, and ensure proper documentation of quality issues (e.g., OS&D - Overage/Shortage/Damage).

Technology & Data:

  • Utilize Warehouse Management Software (WMS), handheld devices (e.g., Nexus), and systems like Excel/Google Sheets to sort data, track inventory, and process resolutions.

Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Operation:

  • Safely operate various MHE, including Order Pickers (Cherry Pickers) and Reach Trucks, to access and move stock for cycle counting, quality checks, and inventory resolution, often at high elevations.

Safety & Teamwork:

Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area (5S) to ensure safety and efficiency.

Collaborate with team members across departments to meet daily targets and support teams during peak volumes.

What You’ll Need

  • Physical Stamina:

    • The ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work a full shift (8+ hours) in a dynamic, non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.

  • Lifting Capability:

    • The ability to frequently lift and move merchandise up to 75 lbs. unassisted. Must be able to team lift up to 150 lbs..

  • Experience & Skills:

    • At least 1 year of experience with cycle counts is required.

    • Basic to intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with Outlook and Excel or Google Sheets.

    • PIV Certification (Cherry Picker/Reach Truck/Electric Pallet Jack) or willingness to be trained is often required.

  • Language & Reasoning: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals in English. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential.
