Job Description Summary

Under the general guidance of the Specialty Pharmacy Management provide clinical oversight, operational leadership, and staff management within the specialty pharmacy program. In collaboration with Specialty pharmacists and technicians ensure that the Specialty Pharmacy provides optimal care to patients as evidenced by proper drug selection, dose, route, duration of therapy, and cost effectiveness. Develop, implement, and coordinate pharmacy programs and enhance the quality of existing services within specialty pharmacy. Collaborate with team members to optimize the delivery of care, ensure relevant patient safety, regulatory adherence, ensure certification and/or accreditation standards are maintained, and perform various required human resource functions.
