Job Summary:
Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Reservations Agent to join our team for the summer season. In this role the Agent will be responsible for handling guest reservations via phone, email, and online booking platforms while ensuring a seamless and personalized experience for each guest. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for luxury hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture sales from incoming reservation calls and coordinate details of each reservation.
  • Accurately convey room types, pricing, and availability to guests.
  • Complete internal reservation forms and maintain accurate records.
  • Run daily reports for the Reservations department.
  • Answer general reservation inquiries via phone and email, retrieve and distribute mail.
  • Call to confirm and/or guarantee non-guaranteed reservations and clear waitlisted bookings.
  • Greet guests in a warm and professional manner, ensuring all interactions meet Forbes-level hospitality standards.
  • Handle guest complaints and inquiries in accordance with Gurney’s Resorts' policies, ensuring resolutions that uphold the guest experience.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule (8-hour shift)

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Occasional walking, standing, and reaching to access files or office materials.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
  • Must be able to wear a headset for extended periods while handling phone calls.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

  • $19.80 per hour.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance for full-time, year-round employees.
  • Paid Vacation (10 days) plus Accrued Personal-Sick-Holiday time (88 hours).
