The Senior Full Stack Engineer is a pivotal member of the software development team, deeply engaged in every phase of the development lifecycle. This role encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including front-end development to create intuitive and responsive user interfaces, back-end development for building reliable and efficient server-side logic, seamless integration with databases, as well as management of network infrastructure and hosting environments. Additionally, the engineer focuses on enhancing user experience by optimizing system performance and usability across all platforms.

In this capacity, the Senior Full Stack Engineer independently tackles complex technical challenges, applying expert problem-solving skills and sound technical judgment to deliver high-quality solutions. The role involves making critical decisions on moderately complex to highly complex project elements, often without direct supervision. The engineer exercises considerable discretion in setting project objectives, choosing appropriate technologies, and devising innovative approaches to meet business goals.

Beyond technical execution, the Senior Full Stack Engineer influences the strategic direction of the engineering department by providing technical leadership, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to architectural and design discussions. Collaboration with cross-functional teams-including product management, quality assurance, and operations-is vital to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and to foster continuous improvement. The engineer remains adaptable to changing requirements and emerging industry best practices, ensuring that solutions are both current and forward-looking.

This role demands a balance of deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership capabilities to drive the successful delivery of scalable, maintainable, and robust software solutions.

The Full Stack Software Engineer will:

  • Work with a team of developers with deep experience in frontend technologies, distributed microservices, and full stack systems
  • Work across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies
  • Work with cloud native stack, build on Azure, AWS, or Google, use technologies like Kubernetes
  • Write effective REST APIs and technical documentation
  • Write automated test cases to ensure correctness, responsiveness, and efficiency of the software product
  • Provide expertise to influence project, initiative, and maintenance technical direction during discovery, planning, and implementation stages.
  • Maintain modern development standards with best-practice approaches and development processes

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 6 or more years of experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software applications and/or infrastructure.
  • Strong full stack engineering experience across modern front-end, back-end, and database technologies.
  • 4 or more years of experience with modern front-end technologies and frameworks such asVue.js,ReactJS, TypeScript, andNode.js.
  • 3 or more years of technical proficiency in one or more programming languages or platforms such asNode.js,Java,.NET, or similar technologies.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions across all layers of the application stack, including user interface, user experience, server-side logic, APIs, databases, and hosting environments.
  • Knowledge ofAzure Cloud Servicesor equivalent cloud platforms, including cloud-based application development, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks such asJest,Mocha,Jasmine,React Testing Library,JUnit,NUnit, or similar, including automated unit test development and maintenance.
  • Experience participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, technical design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and production support.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, align on solution design, and deliver project objectives.
  • Experience conducting code reviews, applying engineering best practices, and providing technical guidance to peers and junior engineers.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues across front-end, back-end, database, and infrastructure components.
  • Strong understanding of security, performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience withAdobe Experience Platform

Additional Information

Location: This is a hybrid position requiring approximately 1-3 days per week in the office. Candidates may be based in Dallas, TX; Louisville, KY; or Chicago, IL.

Work-At-Home Requirements

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
