We're actively seeking a talented Annuities Operations Remediation Specialist to join our Ops Remediation Team in Newport Beach, CA or Omaha, NE.
  • This role is hybrid. We believe in empowering our employees to get work done both in and out of the office.

As an Operations Remediation Specialist, you'll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by investigating operational, system, or process issues. By collaborating with partners across compliance, technology, and the business, you will assess customer facing impacts, drive remediation efforts, and ensure alignment with policy and contract standards to minimize risk to both customers and the organization.
How you'll help move us forward:
  • Monitors Production Issue inquiry email box, providing timely responses per established department turnaround times.
  • Manages tasks according to departmental workflow requirements, adapting promptly to shifting priorities.
  • Follows established intake process, documenting as required for IT and other external business partners.
  • Analyzes reported production issues, leveraging appropriate data and resources to identify root cause of gaps between system/process and policy/ contract requirements; Partners with Senior Analysts to assess system behavior as needed.
  • Identifies impacts requiring external guidance; Summarizes research and analysis into concise overviews to facilitate key decisions.
  • Partners with Ops Risk and Controls, IT, OGC, and Finance to align solutions and decisions as appropriate.
  • Independently leads remediation efforts for small to medium-size production issues.
  • Communicates and collaborates effectively with Operations teams, ensuring alignment and awareness of actions being taken, including time frames.
  • Customer communications are developed collaboratively, following established standards.
  • Bulletin announcements are coordinated with Documentation Team.
  • Collaborates with impacted Operations teams to ensure successful implementation of remediation fixes.
  • Works efficiently, meeting expectations for deadlines, thoroughness, and accuracy.
  • Leads positive and professional interactions with internal and external business partners.
  • Assists Senior Analysts on larger scale remediations, demonstrating understanding of action taken and rationale behind steps.

The experience you bring:
  • 3-5 years CMD Operations experience, demonstrating broad Annuities and/or Life Insurance business, workflow, procedural and system knowledge from an Operations perspective.
  • Requires strong research and analysis, critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to balance accuracy, speed, and work quality.
  • Ability to quickly understand and implement new procedures.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of individuals.
  • Demonstrated desire to deliver a stellar service experience to both internal and external customers.
  • Able to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • 4-year degree or equivalent combination of work and experience

Base Pay Range:
The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
