Job description

Regulatory/Administrative Assistant

Job Summary:          Provide administrative and technical assistance to the Regulatory and Compliance Manager. Prepare reports, research projects as requested, assist with compliance inspections and audits of food safety, environmental and employee safety programs. 

Education:                   Two years of college preferred

 

Experience:                One year experience in safety or regulatory compliance

Requirements:

  • Comply with personnel, product, and food safety regulations.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Must adhere to all quality processes, including documentation and verification 
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Sensitivity to confidential matter
  • Microsoft Word, Excel. PowerPoint and Outlook experience

 

Duties:

  • Researching various regulation requirements
  • Compiling documentation for training presentations
  • Run monthly compliance reports as required.
  • Conduct weekly and/or monthly environmental inspections.
  • Compose correspondence as requested.
  • Assist with new hire and annual refresher training.
  • Performs special assignments as directed by Regulatory and Compliance Manager.
  • Maintain neat and orderly workplace.
  • Assist with administering training documents.
  • Perform special assignments as requested.  
  • Regulatory/Admin Assistant is informed and held accountable for their food safety, environmental and employee safety responsibilities.
  • Regulatory/Admin Assistant is positively encouraged and required to notify management of actual or potential food safety, environmental or employee safety issues.
  • Regulatory/Admin Assistant is empowered to act to resolve food safety, environmental or employee safety issues within their scope of work.
  • Conduct internal audits on compliance programs.
  • Assist in preparing and conducting safety meetings and following up on action items.
  • Assist in conducting accident investigations.
