Job Summary
The Center for Biomedical Sciences and Department of Biological Sciences in the College of Science and Engineering at Troy University invites applicants to apply for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position. We seek a dynamic and innovative scholar who is committed to excellence in both teaching and research and who will contribute to the growth and distinction of our interdisciplinary biomedical sciences programs.
1. Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in biomedical sciences and potentially
bioengineering or related disciplines, depending on expertise.
2. Develop and maintain an active, externally funded research program that included
student involvement and contributes to the Center and Department's mission.
3. Mentor undergraduate and graduate students in research, academic advising, and
career development.
4. Participate in curriculum development, departmental service, and interdisciplinary
collaborations within the College and across the university.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences, Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, Physiology, or a closely related
field from an accredited institution is required by the time of appointment.

1. Post-doctoral experience in Biomedical Sciences, Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, Physiology, or a closely related
field from an accredited institution is required by the time of appointment.

3. A demonstrated record or strong potential for establishing an independent research program.
4. Experience or interest in interdisciplinary research and collaborative grant writing is preferred.
