Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and forward-thinking CAD/CAM Manager to lead the digital department of our dental laboratory. In this role, you will oversee all digital design, scanning, nesting, and milling operations, ensuring the highest standards of precision, efficiency, and quality for fixed, removable, and implant restorations.

The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise in dental CAD/CAM software and hardware, strong leadership skills, and a passion for staying at the cutting edge of digital dentistry.

  • Lead & Empower: Take charge of hiring, scheduling, and team assignments. Mentor designers and leads with supportive, timely feedback to help them grow in their careers.
  • Drive Quality: Oversee design accuracy and production quality to ensure every component fits clinician specifications perfectly.
  • Innovate & Streamline: Refine operating procedures, partner with lab leadership on R&D initiatives, and offer high-level guidance on complex cases.
  • Manage Technology: Keep our software and hardware running smoothly. Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support across platforms like 3Shape, Exocad, Meshmixer, 3D printers, and CNC mills.
  • Analyze & Improve: Track performance metrics to spot bottlenecks early and roll out strategic adjustments that boost efficiency.
  • Optimize Resources: Partner with the Inventory Manager and team leads to keep materials stocked and workflows uninterrupted.
  • Leadership Style: Exceptional communication, motivational skills, and a supportive approach that champions continuous learning.
  • Strategic Mindset: Strong decision-making abilities with a knack for hitting tight deadlines and streamlining processes.
  • Technical Background: 5 to 7 years of dental laboratory experience as a CAD/CAM technician, backed by advanced proficiency in 3Shape, Exocad, Meshmixer, and desktop scanners.
  • Management Experience: At least 2 years of experience supervising or managing a team.
  • Education & Credentials: A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and a Certified Dental Technician (CDT) designation are both preferred.
