  • Preferred Fields of Study: Mechanical Engineering, Materials/Polymer Science, Chemistry, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field
  • Training/certifications in metrology, quality, or laboratory calibration practices preferred (e.g., NCSL, ASQ, or equivalent formal training)
  • Experience developing and running functional / failure-focused test methods, knowledge of the industry and best practices (experience with one or more is preferred):
    • Leak / seal / closure performance, pressure or vacuum integrity, thread engagement/torque behavior
    • Fit/function testing across mating components and tolerance stack-ups
    • Stress, creep, fatigue, drop/impact, or crack initiation (incl. chemical stress cracking)
    • Chemical compatibility/resistance and exposure testing (solvents, buffers, disinfectants, lab reagents)
    • Temperature / environmental conditioning and performance verification after exposure
    • Packaging integrity and distribution/shipping simulation support; sterility-related functional requirements (as applicable)
  • Working knowledge of common lab plasticware product types and use environments (e.g., tubes/vials, plates, bottles/carboys, filtration-related disposables, cell culture plastics)
  • Experience applying disciplined measurement practices: metrological traceability, calibration status control, measurement system analysis (MSA), and fit-for-purpose reporting (ISO/IEC 17025 concepts / accreditation-aligned practices a plus)
  • Experience with ERP systems and controlled technical documentation (procedures, test methods, reports, traceability records)
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and product requirements; translate them into practical test methods and acceptance criteria
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Experience mentoring and training technical team members
  • Excellent organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities with a systematic, detail-oriented approach
