JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The research engineer will work with the PI on facilitating the lab's ongoing research projects in the immersive system.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

  • Designing, implementing, and testing an edge-assisted hardware testbed.
  • Integrating our mobile robotic platform for human-centered AR evaluation and multi-camera systems for visual offloading and 3D reconstruction.
  • The research engineer will also be expected to assist the PI in preparing preliminary results and manuscript drafts for proposal and paper submissions.

Requirements:

  • M.S. in Robotics Engineering or a related engineering/computing field
  • Hands-on experience with ROS 2
  • Experience developing, integrating, or operating mobile robots, manipulators, or mobile-manipulation systems
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++.
